The darling mispronunciations of childhood!--dear me, there's no music that can touch it; and how one grieves when it wastes away and dissolves into correctness, knowing it will never visit his bereaved ear again.

Austin, 4 on his dad

Nase had a productive afternoon yesterday--he installed a ceiling fan/light downstairs, mowed the lawn, put speakers on the computer, replaced the burnt-out light bulb that had sat for months.
Austin was telling me about all his accomplishments & said:
"Dad's fixing everything today!"

Later that evening when the kids & I went out on the deck to look at the summer night's stars I saw that Nase had also cleaned out & set up the kids' pool for them--I remarked on it & Austin said:
"Yeah, Dad's turning nice!"

(I had to hit Nase up with that one :)
